Conference Fees: The registration fee includes conference attendance, proceedings on CD-ROM, lunches, coffee breaks, banquet, welcome party, Civic Reception and evening events. The registration fee is due on registration and must be paid within 7 days (but not later than 7 days before the starting day of the conference). Participation in the conference will be denied if full payment of the registration fee is not received. Students: For Student Registration, please send a copy of your student ID card to Dr P. Strachan, either by fax to +44 141 552 5105, or by post to Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Strathclyde, 75 Montrose Street, Glasgow, G1 1XJ, Scotland, UK. Failure to do so will render you liable for the full registration fee. Papers and Additional Papers: Each registrant is entitled to submit a single paper for inclusion in the conference proceedings and for presentation (oral or poster). Additional papers per registration are allowed on payment of a fee of £100 each (up to 2 additional papers maximum per author). Accompanying Persons: The accompanying person’s registration fee includes the banquet, welcome party, Civic Reception and evening events but excludes conference attendance and proceedings. Refund Policy: Notice of cancellation should be sent by post or fax to Dr P. Strachan (contact details above). If this is done before 15 June 2009, 80% of the conference fee will be refunded. There will be no refunds after this date. However, substitutions are allowed if notified by fax or post to Dr P Strachan prior to the start of the conference. Conference Changes and Cancellation: The conference programme is subject to change. Payments will be refunded if the conference is cancelled by the organisers. In that case, the organisers will have no further liability to the registrant. Registrations remain valid if the conference has to be postponed. Personal Belongings: The conference organisers cannot be held accountable for damage to or loss of personal belongings of participants. Web Access: Participants using the University's internet facilities must abide by the University's Policy on the Use of Computing Facilities and Resources as approved by the University Court on 25th November 1997. |
