Conference Paper Submission Instructions

Before you submit your paper CHECK THE FOLLOWING

  • READ the "Paper Formatting Guide" - this is under "Abstracts and Papers" on the menu on the left-hand-side of the webpage
  • the naming convention for papers is pXXXvY.pdf - where XXX is the original abstract number and Y is the version number of the paper
  • REMOVE author names from papers to be reviewed - author names should only appear on final accepted version of papers


    • To submit your paper follow the step-by-step instructions below.

    1. click on "Register and Login" on the menu on the left-hand-side of the webpage

    2. enter your user name and password

    3. click on "Submissions" - you will then see a list of your existing contributions

    4. click on "Upload Contribution" (this is just below the contribution number) - this allows you to upload the paper associated with your existing abstract

      NOTE: Repeat this process for each abstract you have submitted to the conference

    5. in the "Upload File(s) to Server" section click on "Browse" and select the pdf file you want to upload

    6. once you have selected the file containing the paper click on "Upload File(s) and Complete Submission"
    You should receive a confirmation e-mail shortly after submitting your paper. If you do not receive this contact enquiries@bs2009.org.uk.

    If you want to edit the details of an existing contribution:
    1. follow steps 1 - 3 above and then click "Edit Contribution Details" (this is just below the contribution number) which will bring up the information for the selected contribution

    2. make the changes you require to the paper details and then click "Save" at the bottom of the page

    If you want to upload a more recent version of a paper:
    1. follow steps 1 - 3 above and then click "Upload Contribution" (this is just below the contribution number)

    2. in the "Upload File(s) to Server" section click on "Browse" and select the pdf file you want to upload

    3. once you have selected the file containing the paper click on "Upload File(s) and Complete Submission"

      NOTE: This will overwrite the existing version of your paper so remember to change the version number in the uploaded file name!
